More than 700 University of the Incarnate Word graduates were scheduled to cross the stage Dec. 11 and 12 at the university’s Fall 2010 Commencement Ceremonies.

Three events, plus a Mass, were spread out over the two-day period.

The commencement ceremonies started with the Friday evening Baccalaureate Mass at the Alice P. McDermott Convocation Center. At 7:30 p.m., UIW honored graduate students, doctoral and PharmD candidates. Delivering the commencement address was San Antonio City Manager Sheryl Sculley.

The following day, Saturday morning, the graduates from the Division of Extended Academic Programs and the H-E-B School of Business and Administration received their diplomas. The Saturday afternoon ceremony honored the graduates from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences, the School of Mathematics, Science and Engineering, the Dreeben School of Education, the School of Nursing and Health Professions, and the School of Media and Design.

UIW Moody Professor David Campos, Ph.D., provided the commencement address for both Saturday ceremonies. Campos is a professor of education in UIW’s Dreeben School of Education.
